Meet The Founder.

A Vision Rooted in Compassion and Community

The Way Forward Initiative was born from a simple yet powerful belief held by our founder: Restoring Hope. Renewing Lives. Rebuilding Futures.

After witnessing the growing struggles of families facing poverty and lack of access to basic resources, our founder was moved to action. With a heart for service and deep ties to the community, she began distributing food, clothing, and essentials out of her own home, one bag, one person, one family at a time.

What started as an act of compassion quickly grew into a broader mission: not just to provide temporary relief, but to build pathways toward stability and hope. That vision became The Way Forward Initiative—a nonprofit dedicated to meeting urgent needs and laying the foundation for long-term change.

Our founder continues to lead with humility, faith, and commitment to lifting others up. By fostering partnerships with churches, nonprofits, and local organizations, she has helped create a growing network of support that reaches across neighborhoods in NYC.

Her story is proof that one person can spark real transformation—and that when a community comes together, the way forward becomes possible for everyone.

With a BSc in Mathematics, MA in Physics, and MA in Biblical Studies and Theology, our founder brings both intellectual depth and spiritual conviction to her work. Her diverse professional background includes roles as a university lecturer, marketing analyst, and educator—all of which have equipped her to lead with clarity, compassion, and vision.

Today, she continues to work hard to expand the organization with humility, faith, and a steadfast belief that no one is too far gone and everyone deserves a way forward.
